Animal Welfare Run 2026 On 19th April 2026, Animal Allies Africa, in partnership with the Uganda Veterinary Association (UVA), organised the Animal Welfare Run at the UVA Offices in Kampala, Uganda. The event consisted of a 5-kilometre charity run and aerobics session, designed to raise awareness on animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and the prevention of zoonotic diseases, particularly rabies. A total of 79 participants attended the event, which reflects a positive level of community interest and engagement. The event raised UGX 2,765,000, which was used to fund the donation of 125 rabies vaccine doses to community clinics in Bukedea District.
